We're sorry to say that we have some bad news...Unfortunately, "The Great Gazoo", better known as Harvey Kormen, also known for his great work in the Carol Burnett Show, which, if you've ever seen it and didn't have to hold back tears of laughter then I don't even know who you are!, died yesterday....in the wise words of William Moreno, "He was a good Friend".

Rest in peace my funny friend!

This Saturday the Davis' will be holding a graduation party for Walla aka Wesley! The party begins at 5pm and will be held at Mariana and Roger's house. Please call them for any other details. See you all there and

Last week the Chumado's Played a double header losing the first game by just one point and then ending the second game in a tie. They should have won it!! From Gaithersburg:
Take I-270 South to Route 28 toward Rockville. Stay on Rt. 28 through the courthouse area.
At the light at the bottom of the bridge past St. Mary's, go straight on Route 586 (Veirs Mill Rd).
Go through Twinbrook and turn left on Aspen Hill Rd., then make an immediate left onto Adrian St. to Baltic Ave. Fields are on the left.

LAYHILL LOCAL (14901 Layhill Road) Take 270 south to Route 28 east. Follow Route 28 for several miles. Cross Baur Drive, cross Georgia Avenue (Rt. 97). Go right on Layhill Road. Park entrance will be on left near a small bridge.

After you cross Georgia Ave. (Rt. 97), you may be able to save some time by turning right onto Wintergate Dr. Stay straight on Wintergate through the traffic circle. Wintergate ends at Layhill Rd. Turn left onto Layhill, then make an immediate right into the park.

First, we would like to give a Chumado's Update:
The team FINALLY got to play a full game last night. It was a great game. Everyone on the team played so well and really came together as a cohesive group. The defense and the offense made every attempt to play like champs and it paid off! The Chumado's were victorious in our first "played" game. This gives us 1 loss and 3 win's so far this season. Keep up the good work Chumado's!!

This weekend we celebrated Mother's Day at Natalie's house. All of the men grilled - in the rain - and the Mom's were honored for all they do for all of us all year long and the wonderful meals that they always prepare for the entire family. Below are some pictures of the get together.

William has made a suggestion that I would like to extend to the entire family. I am offering anyone that would like to "guest post" on the site the opportunity to do so. Rather than assign this to some that would prefer not to participate, please let me know if you are interested and I will work out a schedule of blog updaters. That way, we can get more consistent updates from lots of other perspectives and learn about things that everyone is up to. This opportunity is open to the adults and the children of the family. And lastly, an update on the Chumado's Softball Team for those that don't get to the games, and of course our family in Ecuador that checks up on us from afar. So far the Chumado's have had 3 scheduled games. We lost our first game unfortunately. At the second game, the opposing team failed to show up and the Chumado's just scrimmaged since we had no one to play. The third game, which was last week, was a later game at 8pm. It had also been raining on and off that entire day but the game was not cancelled officially. Most of the Chumado's team showed up ready to play, but unfortunately, the opposing team did not show up again this week so we took a win. This is fine with us to take the easy win occasionally, but we'd really like to play some time! So, as the season goes on, and we actually play some games, there will be more updates to come! Keep checking back for more....

Today is our crazy little Natalya's Birthday!! we hope you have a great birthday, get lots of nice presents and have so much fun at your party at Chuck E Cheese's! We love you Natalya.

Adults of the Moreno family, the 16th annual Wine in the Woods is May 17th and 18th from noon to 6pm. It's located at Symphony Woods, right across from Columbia Mall, it's the grounds outside of Merriweather Post Pavilion and the same place where the Symphony of Lights is held every Holiday season.

Anyway, if anyone is interested, tickets go on sale May 6th. They are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate so if you're not sure you want to go yet you can decide that day. We should try and get a good group of us together to enjoy the day. We can set out blankets, we can bring food, whatever we want. There are tons of wine vendors, food, live music and fun for all ages (children are allowed to attend, not sure what the deal is for tickets for them, check the web site if interested).

Bianca, Jay and Stevie went last year and met up with a large group of Bianca's girlfriends from Columbia last year and it was a blast. There are lots of wine's to taste and buy. The music was a great added touch. And hey, who doesn't like drinking wine on a nice spring afternoon?
