April showers

So, the rain and weird weather has started. It went from being 80 degrees last week to about 40 this weekend! But that is weather in the DC metro area.

The Chumado's first softball game was a double header last Thursday against the Buzzcock's. We didn't win but we have made many improvements and above all we all had fun. We have a few new players who have joined the team and Jay joined us as our score keeper last week. We'll get some Chumado's pic's up as soon as we can so you can all check out our new and improved uniform shirts.

We all gathered on Sunday, April 24th to celebrate Christopher's 21st birthday at Bennigan's in Rockville. It was a lot of fun.

David will be coming home for a visit from the peace corps in May. I believe the dates are May 22 - June 6th but check with Lena (lena_jalapeno@yahoo.com) for details. Hi Everyone, we wanted to share a little more information about the Moreno's so here's the short story:

We are all the product of Efrain and Hilda Moreno who ventured to the United States from Ecuador in the 1960's. They started their American roots in Takoma Park, MD and raised 11 children there:

Raymond (only one born in the US)

Over the last 30 + years our family has grown and grown with new members, in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended friends of the family that we consider one of us.

The Moreno Men

Hello Lovers of the Moreno Family Web Site and thanks for joining us at our new location.

Well, it appears that the Chumado's softball season is upon us and our first game is this Thursday, April 21st at 8pm at Wheaton Regional Park, field #2. Come on out to cheer us on or just to grab a brew at the Stained Glass Pub (corner of Layhill Road and Georgia Avenue) afterward.
