game time

Well, the Chumado's, and the rest of the Moreno Family and friends got together Sunday morning to watch Ecuador battle England in the World Cup. Unfortunately Ecuador could not hold it together. They played amazing in the first half. It was very exciting and action packed.

In the second half, Ecuador didn't really participate. It was quite unfortunate. We thought for sure the Ecuador team we saw in the first two games of the World Cup would have been present but they just couldn't come up with the win. England got a beautiful goal (that should have been stopped by our goalie) and that was it for the game. Ecuador lost 0 - 1, but we love them all the same.

VIVA ECUADOR!

Well, Ecuador didn't beat Germany. As a matter of fact we kind of got our butts kicked, BUT we were moving on regardless so there's nothing to be sad about.

In other sporting news, the Chumados play the Mighty Dux this Thursday at 7:15pm at Layhill field #3. Come out and support the team and hopefully we can pull out a win this time. See you then!

This week the Chumados play a double header make-up game. The games start on Thursday at 6pm. We'll be playing at Cabin John field.

From the Beltway and from Northern VA:

(1) Beltway West From Silver Spring to I-270 north to Old Georgetown Rd. exit. Bear right onto Old Georgetown Rd. to left onto Tuckerman Lane To left onto Westlake Dr., to right at ice rink parking lot. Field #2 Is directly ahead; Fields #3 & #4 are to the right; and Fields #5 & #6 are to the left.
(2) Beltway north from Virginia to I-270 north to Democracy Blvd. West exit, to right on Westlake Dr., to left at ice Rink parking lot.

From Gaithersburg:
Take I-270 south. Take the fork onto I-270-SPUR south toward I-495 S/NORTHERN VIRGINIA (go 0.8 mi).
Take the DEMOCRACY BLVD. exit (go 0.3 mi). Turn right on DEMOCRACY BLVD (go 0.3 mi). Turn right on WESTLAKE DR (go 0.7 mi). Turn left at ice rink parking lot. Field #2 is directly ahead; Fields #3 & #4 are to the right; and Fields #5 & #6 are to the left.

This Wednesday our little Alyssa will be heading to Waco to visit her family that lives in Texas. Alyssa is going to have so much fun hanging with her Nanny and Papa and her aunts and uncles but we will miss her here VERY VERY much! Have a wonderful summer Alyssa, we will be thinking about you and we can't wait to celebrate when you come back.

Also, Lena would like to thank everyone for coming to her birthday cookout on Saturday. She had a blast and hopes everyone else did as well.

Chumado Beach Party

Well, the majority of the Chumado's had a wonderful time at the beach. The weather was perfect, the drinks and the food were amazing and a great time was had by all.

Unfortunately the Chumados must have relaxed a little too much because they came back on Thursday to play the MRI team and lost 3 - 4. This was a game we should have totally won, there are no excuses.

This week the Chumado's play a makeup game that we missed against the Red Dog's. The details have not been posted yet but as soon as we know which field and what time they will be up on the site.
