The Chumado's take the Playoff's

Well, we didn't take it all but we were on fire there for a little bit. And I don't mean the excessive heat or the shot of Makers Mark that we were all required to ingest at the end of the day.

Seriously, the Chumado's had a great season and a great experience at the Playoff's. We started out by beating the first team 16 - 6! We made them look like sissies! And from where this team came from, we're allowed to say that! It was hot, but we were ready to tear it up and we showed them what we were made of. After the game we had about an hour to rest before heading to the next field for game number two.

We all gathered in a few cars when it was time to play the second game and headed down to field #5. So, in the second game we weren't playing like the Chumado's that you know and love. We got whipped but not too bad. We lost 9 - 4 but it felt a lot worse. The other team was really good and the ump was, pardon my french, a jack ass. I think collectively the Chumado's hope to not have this ump in the fall league or next season. We'll see what happens. We were also lucky enough to have Patty from Stained Glass there to cheer us on as well as Linda and our buddy Little Mike!

When we got to the third game we were very surprised to see that we were playing Cheap Seats! We gave them a run for their money but the Chumado's were exhausted and just plain ran out of time. We lost game three 5-3. If we were gonna lost to anyone we were glad it was Cheap Seats. We were all beat and probably not willing to admit that we didn't want to play the next day. Waking up sore the next day reminded us all of that!

We all gathered for a celebratory shot of Makers Mark. Some of us were breathing fire after that but it was all good. Even Pokey, Robert, Grandpa and the girls made a surprise cameo on their way home from Myrtle Beach! Thanks Chumado's for a great season! See you in the fall...
