The Moreno Family Clan was quite busy this President's Day weekend. On Saturday all the ladies celebrated the soon to arrive little Chumado Moreno Johnson with a shower for Lena and the baby. Since all we seem concerned with is food that's what we have pictures of (I promise we'll get some pictures with people in them soon!) Here are some shots of the delicious and quite cute cake and the fabulous spread of food:

On Sunday evening all of the Moreno's and extended friends and family gathered at Duffy's Irish Pub across from the 9:30 Club for a Pre-Party with some yummy grub and some tasty Irish Car Bombs. Then we all headed over to the 9:30 Club to see Danny and his band, Under Contract, play in the Battle of the Bands. It was quite interesting. Especially for Grandma and Little Allyssa as we walked in to the band that played before Danny's. I would categorize it as Death Metal. Allyssa was crying and I think I heard a constant stream of "Ay Dios Mio" coming from Grandma's mouth the entire time. It was scary. Once the devil worshipers were off stage Danny and his band took their places and rocked. It was a lot of fun and once their set was over we were back to the evil music and quickly exited the venue. Well, some of us did. The remainder of the Chumados headed down to the basement bar at the 9:30 Club and continued the after party there where it was nice and quiet. It was a great weekend.
