Not only did she sport the 1979 feathered hair, velcro sneaks and kitty cat socks, she also really knew how to treat a team that was playing very badly. Thanks Umpy Umpertons. Can't wait until our next meeting...

We also got our new jerseys. After next week's game we'll let you know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. For now we thank NJevin for the concept and Jal for drawing the new design and of course coach William for getting it all done.

Our experience at the field may have stunk but back at the pub...Well, that's another story. We celebrated John's 41st B-day with a lovely cake that his lovely wife Jal brought. And, in case his spittle wasn't enough, we passed the cake around to the other two recent birthday celebrants so that they could also blow out the candles and contaminate the icing as well. So thanks, and a happy birthday again to Chris and Lena. A good time was had by all and thanks to Patty we soon forgot what the word softball even meant! Until next week...
