The Moreno family got together on Monday to celebrate their anniversary. Grandma Hilda had with her the original passport with the picture below on it and an original letter that Grandpa Efrain wrote to the embassy allowing his family to come join him here in the U.S. The kids that were present tried to recreate the angry picture below.

In the original picture were Rosa, Mariana, Freddy, Galo, Lucy, William, Edgar and Robert. Raymond, of course, was not born yet, and Rommel and Fernando were already in the United States with Grandpa Efrain. We decided it would be a nice idea to have another photo, in color, with everyone smiling. Apparently Freddy didn't get the memo.

Grandma told stories of their journey, including one about the night they arrived. It was about midnight and all of the children were crying. Grandma Hilda had to leave them for a few minutes so that she could call Rommel and Fernando to work out their transportation. When she returned she found the children happy, quiet and eating M&M's. To this day she has no idea who gave the kids the treat but is thankful and she brought M&M's for everyone.

Here is a picture of some of the family members that were able to join us this past Monday. Hopefully next year we will have even more present. Happy Anniversary again to the Moreno Family!
